About ArmsWatch

ArmsWatch is an ongoing effort to track notable developments in military applications of artificial intelligence, as rising AI capabilities become more evident and alluring to state actors. This is an OSINT-level resource. So, some reports are ambiguous or speculative and are labeled accordingly. Each entry includes a confidence level and source links.

Over time, I intend to cover as many countries as are relevant to the topic. The current scope tracks the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Ukraine, but this is merely because this is a work in progress. I also intend to cover the policy and risk implications of what these countries are doing.

I've made this publicly available (even though it still needs much work) in the hope that anyone interested in military applications of AI or worried about the growing fellowship between governments and AI corporations can see the direction and decide to contribute. If this is you, please reach out.
